Aye well the seller is quite clear, distortion in one channel.

As above that’s a nice one owner unit, get it directly to Quad and it would be a lovely 405

I think if I was putting money into renovating a 405 I would select a 405 mkII over the I. A modded mk1 can be great but in stock form the mkII is better than the mk1.
