I bought a 401 this weekend, serial number check shows it is a 1971 unit. Has the raised strobe but earlier metal raised name plate. Mechanics are clean as a whistle and the motor as quiet as a mouse. The left side of top plate has some light corrosion which I have cleaned gently using a potato...
Really nice clean example with original packaging and user manual. It includes a slatedeck slate plinth with removable arm mount and also some isolating spikes mounted on slate blocks. The motor unit runs well, nice and quiet and cosmetic condition is also excellent.
Collection only from north...

I have read that each of...
