The final contenders

I'm in need of a new compact, so I'm down to following:

Ricoh R7
Panasonic FX33
Fuji F50

All around the £150-ish mark give or take £20-30.

Any thoughts, experiences?

Or would going up to the £200 region get me anything substantially better (and give me an even bigger headache trying to choose)?

The Fuji compacts are advertised as having exceptionally low noise, which would tempt me.

My ancient Nikon Coolpix (rocking 16 megs of memory) covers anything dark in purple and green splodges. And while noise isn't too awful a thing, but visible noise reduction is fouler than foul.

i bought a pair of th panasonics for my parents and was very pleased with them, for what they are. if you are at all serious, however, then i would get a camera with an optical viewfinder.

vuk.

I've got a DSLR for the attempts at artistry, so this really is a PnS. The FX33 at £128 is looking likely, though the missus has forced me into a camcorder purchase first so it'll have to wait a couple of weeks.
Probably be down to £100 by then :)
