Vinyl in the car can be problematic.
My dad used a wind-up 78 gramophone on a sailing boat: he said you couldn’t use it if it was blowing more than force 4 - 5 as it jumped about!

Laurel and Hardy managed to play 78s in their car in the 1932 film Towed in a Hole, so I’m sure car manufacturers will have perfected mobile vinyl playback by now.Vinyl in the car can be problematic.
I listen to probably 5-8 albums per day but I'm all (local) streaming as my vinyl collection is on a different continent, much to my parents' dismay, and therefore I have yet to have any reason to invest in a turntable.

Argh - you’re quite right - it was Busy Bodies I was thinking of, rather than Towed in a Hole! D’oh! I shall hang my head in shame and cancel my Sons of the Desert membership!I remember the record player under the bonnet in this classic. From memory, Stan gets out and smashes the record!
