Frahm jackets

Has anyone here bought a Frahm jacket? If so, what do you think of them? Well made? Comfortable? Worth the high price?
I need a new good quality jacket to replace an ageing Rohan, which was fine at the time. These days I don't want to look to much like a hill walker. I have looked at a number of websites including Frahm's, and they've been popping up regularly ever since.

They seem very expensive for what they are and many appear to be 'pre-order' - I guess they make a run when they have enough orders.

I’ve got an overshirt by them, which is very nicely made; the jackets are just a touch too pricey for me.

I’m a bit of a jacket/coat addict and bought a Fjallraven last year. Very happy with it.

Belstaff are excellent and fit me nicely:

Yesterday I bought a CP Company coat in the sale:

I’ve gone off North Face now that everyone and their dog wears them (and they seem to be the brand of choice for ‘roadmen’ who will wear their puffers hoods up no matter the weather). Not a fan of Canada Goose as there’s just no need to have real fur on your hood.

Has anyone else noticed that in all these on-line catalogues the models wear jackets that are one or two sizes too small?

I've not come across Frahm before, nice looking jackets which I am sure are very good. They are definitely at the high-end of the market if that's what you're after. You can get very good all weather jackets for far less of an outlay

I recently brought a Helly Hanson Crew Jacket from here - with discount voucher and the sale price I got it for £99.00 (bargain if you ask me) as it's been faultless so far

This is also a very good site with a wide choice of top quality jackets

I'd also suggest having a look at Finisterre for jackets.

Second that! A great company that I only came across earlier this year. I have a couple of their 1/4 zip fleeces and absolutely love them, they really are comfortable and well made. I had to contact them as for some reason their introductory 10% discount wasn't accepted at checkout, plus once I received the item it had a cheaper price tag on than the amount their website was stating. They refunded the difference and amended the order to reflect the discount without any hesitation or quibbles. Really great service.

I'll definitely purchase more from them in the future

Ha Ha, that’s Ed and I imagine he used his miserable face on purpose, I know him and Brant (hebcotro founders) through the mtb scene since the 90’s, they started the company a few years ago with the production of jeans using local production. Still got my original trousers from the initial # 176 production run.

I once interacted with one of them or their staff - asking about larger waist sizes for their jeans - they were quite rude.....some time ago

+1 on Fjallraven, I don't have any of their proper jackets (yet) but a number of other products such as a casual wool jacket, hiking rucksack, Merino top, Skiing merino long underwear etc and its very very good.

All my jackets are Paramo but squarely in the technical/hiking category.
