RIP. Managed to get him for an Ad voice over back in 2006, proper gent, National Treasure indeed.

The end of an era. I saw him on stage in The Cherry Orchard with Joan Plowright in the 80s which came as a surprise since I’d only seen his comedy and lighter stuff on TV. The two of them created the air of faded grandeur perfectly.
