Signed up tonight after reading this thread. I recently purchased my 1st Thorens, a TD145 and have been doing a lot of reading. Did the necessary maintenance on a table already in very good condition. Bought a generic belt from a local company I've dealt with before and it seems a bit tight but runs at 33.02. I've read the only belt to use is the genuine Thorens, and some say also a Thakker. So I ordered a Thakker and once it arrives will see how it differs from the generic. Then I came across this conversation. Once I test the Thakker, I may have to look into getting one of Mike's, it sounds very interesting. Is there a shipped price available for these? I'm in Canada, where we use 60Hz.
