Sad to learn of the passing of Ramsey Lewis aged 87.

I'm a huge fan of his run of LPs on Cadet with his Holt/Young trio. Simply some of the funkiest soul jazz ever recorded.

Like Ramsey Lewis, they tend to the MoR, but are very very groovy at their best. The Kent comp 'Wack Wack' covers most of the stuff worth having and hearing.
