Mono vinyl, 1982 US OJC reissue.
 
Mingus Dynasty, I remember the first time I heard it in the sixties and was shocked. I never tire of the atonal tracks, much preferring it to Mingus Ah Um which gets all of the MIngus recommendations.

I didn't get the joke in the title for a long while. I'm a bit slow sometimes!
 
Mingus Dynasty and Coltrane Expression were my first 2 Jazz LPS in the sixties. Talk about starting at the end! Oh and Monk of course. Lots of pipe smoking back then:rolleyes:
 
It’s a beautiful sunny cloudless day and 24 degC here in Galloway so obviously I’m sat in the house with the blinds drawn as I can’t handle the heat due to spms nerve disruption, so it’s sunny listening music time :cool:, M83 for those summer days.

 
Keith Jarrett, Sun Bear Concerts (Osaka). Not a big Jarrett fan, but I think these solo improvised concert recordings from 1976 are by some distance his best work.
