Dexys Midnight Runners - Searching For The Young Soul Rebels

Kev is a marmite character and that's just me! I've completed three cycles of interested/fan/disciple/questions/doubt/rejection, self-loathing and despair. Got this album on vinyl when it was released, but switched to cd when re-issued in 1988. I heard it on a high end Marantz system of a pal at the time which gave a hint of potential of cd audio. It’s a great recording.

A Fender bass! Bass playing in quite a lot of African ensembles tends to sound as though the strings are very muted. I like the sound.
