No nod to the original album artwork for that.

Thank Christ. o_O

I remember the hoo-ha about the artwork and his performances at the time but I've never actually listened to the record.

Twenty years later I can't help but see the fuss in the context of boorish 90s Oasis/Loaded/NME lad culture. I should probably give it a listen.

It's a terrific record. But there was a lot of guff written about it at the time. Kevin has some interesting things to say about it:

@foxwelljsly - I just got a double vinyl reissue of this on Exit Stencil from Amazon UK. It's a nice pressing, remastered by Paul Hamann who mastered loads of Pere Ubu's classic records: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00G5KKTV4/?tag=pinkfishmedia-21

Cheers SSB. Ordered. Let me know what you think.

I'd been looking at that pressing on discogs, but was coming up way pricier than that. I think there's only about 500 each of two pressings of the double vinyl on ES. $30 plus postage and tax in the US direct from the label, so less than £25 posted in the UK is a steal.

This is one of the first Drummond/Cauty records I got.
I took it to raves and free parties in late 80s and 90s, so in thoroughly enjoyed condition.

I only have that on 2xLP.

I'd second that. The pink vinyl reissue from a few years ago is lovely, but it's a bit long for two sides with Thunder Road thrown in. Rag Doll is positively epic.

As an aside, does anyone think Kevin now looks like the long-lost third Mael Brother?
