Haven't listened to that in many many YEARS. Great choice.
gave up after a couple of tracks - going to try on a different deck - sounded narrow.
Problem is partly due to listening to highly dynamic 7”ers most of the day.
partly the mastering? Dunno. will try the album again tomorrow.
I’ve always loved that line. In what is essentially a British Isles Springsteen pastiche it’s great to hear rather than ‘a coupla dimes...’those who know at least half of the lyrics, take a bow

sounds a bit 2D , not right as well

IMO, that Album is far from 2D, great production /. recording. Maybe not in the mood ?
I think I have had this before, I loved it in the 80’s for about 2 or 3 years, the dancing club time, then it was wrong for decades. Unplayed. Picked it from upstairs a few years ago, and disappointed then.
I am going to deep clean it (it is spotless) and try another deck.
Maybe I enjoyed it more when I had treble/bass and a loudness button?
let’s not he sentimental.
If all else fails,I will stick on a pair of headphones and see what’s what.
