I once had occasion to consult the Gore Aerospace catalogue.

The description of how one of their cables was constructed rang a bell. Sure enough on checking it was very close indeed to the details on a particular high-end audio cable's web page. That's not conclusive, of course, but certainly suspicious.

When dpa was resurrected a few years ago I'm reliably informed that one of their digital cables was purchased from CPC and re-sleeved with appropriate branding.

Interestingly I looked up kimber which means Cyneburg's field; bold family, bold kin. Kimber as a girl's name has English origins. Then looked up cyneburg's field. Cyneburg was an old english name meaning "royal forest"... You couldn't make this up
