Where to get a lid for my Amadeus?

I’m just sick of the dust. Looking on line they seem very expensive. I just want a simple acrylic lid that slips over the turntable and rests on the stand.

I’m pleased with mine and for the handles I took Tony’s suggested approach in the thread I started in the DIY room, choosing handles I liked and using some Shorter electrical screws I picked up from B&Q with washers either side of the Perspex to avoid scratching or cracking from over tightening. I prefer to use the RP10 without plinth and lid and so use an external lid just as many other decks need and as I used to do in my old SME10 days. I also baulked at prices until I found that source.

I bought one of these for my Rega RP10 submitting the dimensions and height I wanted and then after a year added handles as I opted for no cutouts to minimise dust https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/17485998...d=link&campid=5338728743&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

I also, have this cover. It is high quality, well-made and very good perspex. I chose to only have a cut-out at the rear, for cables. The guy offers several positions for handles cable cutouts etc. I can recomment this guy...£82 at the time of purchase. It's cheaper for smaller sizes I wan
ted a complete cover, all encompassing except for the cable space. Ye can try these, instead of felt or cloth...

Not sure if the prices are cheaper direct - essentially a one-man-band in Leicester, he has a website.
The only extra that I added were sticky felt pads on the top of the rack for each corner to rest on, and very small bits of stick-backed foam in the inside corners of the cover so that catching and scratching the plinth is difficult, but not impossible.

Funny you say that Vinny, I keep forgetting to look up very small felt or rubber pads to stick one to each corner, must get to it.

For my Simplex I went with these guys in Germany after seeing them recommended on another forum, it was 86 euros including shipping (in Nov 2020). That price also included a base. They use a fairly thin acrylic which makes it lightweight and it comes in kit form, all the parts slot and screw together, it even came with the screwdriver.

I know a man who makes them. PM me if interested and I will put you in touch with him.
