I'm also unhappy with honours going to sports persons simply for winning something and enriching themselves in the process. Surely they should give back to the sport over a number of years before they get an award.
In fairness I’d expect some serious benefits if I was expected to stand on stage with a vacuous lying corrupt narcissistic arsehole like Johnson and not be allowed to take a cattle-prod/baseball bat.
PS The whole honours thing is utter BS IMHO. Anyone with any dignity would refuse them.

Last year I know, but still..... he strikes me as the perfect example of a public servant who just keeps doing their duty regardless of the politics, and just tries to do their best.
