Upgrade Quad 10L damaged tweeters?..

I have a pair of Quad 10ls coming my way with damaged tweeters.
I'm very happy to open them up and replace but I wondered about taking the opportunity for an upgrade?
The originals are Vifa 1" soft dome tweeters, most likely these... https://www.wilmslowaudio.co.uk/vifa-dx25tg-59-04-diameter104mm-694-p.asp.

Is it worth considering an upgrade, and to what?
Or just replace with new originals..?

I’d go for originals because the speakers were precisely balanced using these units.
Don’t go thinking you can do better with fairy dust or sheer luck. Acoustics is a science.

Yes, stick with originals.

I once saw a pair on eBay, incorrectly identified but couldn't be certain as I didn't know the design well and the pictures were a bit poor. They went for a steal...

Not sure the tweeter was that model, do you have a part number or code on the damaged tweeters.

Quick update - have got the speakers now and had a good poke around. The tweeter units are actually ok - the issue is some crossover components have failed so I'll replace and give them a whirl

Yes - although I'm struggling to sort the crossover components (new thread on this to follow...)

I had a pair of these several years ago. They had what I thought at first was a tweeter fault. Turned out to be dry joints in the crossovers - re-doing all the solder joints was enough to fix them. No guarantee that would work for you, of course.

Edit: Ah, just seen your other thread - you've got other issues to deal with, clearly!
