I’ll claim the wally of the week award. Filled up the car yesterday as ladyship likes the tank to be full. Today, we finally found the car we wanted and got a good px on the old motor. I asked the salesman very nicely if the service guys could take the fuel out of the old and into the new…….

According to my US math, the price of premium here in Minnesota is (.264172 x $3.673 per gallon =) $.97 or £.70 per litre.

I knew petrol was expensive in the UK, but did not know it was twice what is paid here.

UK gallons are larger than US ones so you may need to factor that in too.

Forgot about that - thanks for the correction! Given the UK gallon is 20% larger, I would expect to pay 20% more here (about £.84 per UK litre).
