Is this waste of good capacitors?

What the hell even IS an "active grounding system"?

---

Are they good capacitors?

Duelund CAST copper foil PIO - nice in loudspeaker x-overs - and currently a mere £149.77 each from Hificollective...!

What they are conspicuously not is in anyway Mains-rated, so if this grounding has any kind of direct connection to the mains power, this device cannot be legitimately CE compliant, with the usual 'interesting' implications for safety, insurance validity, &c.

Yes, the batshit crazy side of the industry should be held accountable to some form of Peter Belt standard of decency.

EDIT: Or, perhaps, a 'Russ Andrews Standards Association', dubbed RASA?

I presume by "far infrared" they mean 1300 nm fibre optics wavelength, 1500 nm has only ever been laser and that would require warning labels all over.
What on earth is shining infra red light about meant to do? The electronics is going to add interference if anything.
You are better off putting in a nice geode crystal, at least it looks nice.

Setting-aside the improbable notion that this is in some obscure way a technically valid enhancement to your stereo - it's an inescapable fact that if you believe you are hearing an improvement, then you are hearing an improvement, such is the potency of the placebo effect.

Placebo effect is why 20+ years into the existence of hifi forums we still argue about stuff like interconnects: it's an eternal war between autistics who cannot cope with nuance, chaos or human frailty, and fairyland-inhabitants whose belief system excludes facts or thinks them negotiable...

This war will never end.

Off topic, but your avatar looks like Brendan Rodgers !

Not quite true; it lights some little blinky green lights, to give the impression it does ..something.

(a look at the pics linked via OPs post suggests to me that all that profligate innards is solely a stupidly complex way to run a couple of shift-registers for blinky green LEDs. And a few crap hand-wound 'inductors' linking the 'earth' / 'ground' posts together.

... fantastically, wastefully, offensively-idiotic. )
