The Olympics 2020/1 Japan.

Nothing in the Olympics featuring a horse is a credible event.

She also whipped the horse https://twitter.com/stuartleech/status/1423607420320993281

I say "well done, horse". She deserved to lose with that attitude.

And the coach had a go too and hit the horse! https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2...kyo-olympics-for-punching-horse-annika-schleu

She's been thrown out because of it.

It would be good if this would encourage the end of all horse events in the Olympics. At the very least, medalists in horse events should only receive half a broken medal.

My club Dulwich Paragon puts on Crit races at Crystal Palace Park. 4-5 years ago, two riders would be head and shoulders above the rest of the field, winning every race they turned up to. Fred Wright and Ethan Hayter of VCL, the club associated with Herne Hill Velodrome.
Fred has just completed his first Tour de France. Ethan of course has secured a Silver Medal!!! People are properly proud at the Velodrome. They're also expecting another huge influx of young interested riders. Btw Ethan's younger brother Leo is posting better age related times than his big brother!!

Kenny has got form for that, I'm sure he has managed it in at least one individual sprint as well.

I've not seen anything of this Olympics, best get on YouTube for this keirin though from the sounds of it!

Well, that’s it. Closing ceremony on now. I’ve enjoyed this Olympics a lot, it has kept me distracted from the ongoing tedium of having a new bathroom installed. Cycling & skateboarding the highlights for me, but I guess they would be.
