Hi just wondering if anyone has had experience
i had a 3 tooth bridge fitted due to losing one of my front teeth at the age of 18 now 51 so not a bad innings
the 2 teeth the bridge was attached to have snapped at the gum level
so now have 3 teeth missing
i suppose my options are to get the snapped teeth removed by nhs temp plate wait for my gums to heal then look into getting 2 implants for another 3 tooth bridge
but in the uk i have had quotes in excess of £5500
just wondering if having the treatment done abroad is any cheaper and is safe to do so

Not sure what is the current situation, but Hungary was a lot cheaper. At one time, it was so popular here in expensive Swizzieland that there was a weekly bus that left from Zürich for Hungary specifically for dental patients. Quality of work? From what I can gather, mixed bag, some top-class, others not so top-class.

Apparently business also in the UK:

I’ve had some implants done where I live in Italy and the results are absolutely superb. Cost about £1500 a tooth. Worth every penny. Process takes a long time. First the metal sockets got put in, antibiotics for a few days, then I had to wait some months until they bonded with the jaw, then the tooth proper got attached. One front tooth, at the site of a crown that was years old, needed a bone transplant and more time. From what I can figure out the people offering cheaper deals don’t do any of the waiting, and since you will be long since gone before any problems arise, they don’t have to worry, but you may.

I’ve got a five tooth bridge on three implants, cost me £9k . My dentist did as much as he could and a specialist implantologist put the implants in. It was a long process and there’s no way I would have gone abroad.

Was assessed for implants at the surgery I'd attended for 30 years and trusted - I also have a PhD in Oral Biology! Managed to avoid an implant for now, but knowing what's involved and the risks, I would not want to live in a different country to the dentist who is screwing the largest possible titanium sockets into potentially old and thinning bone.....

just had the snapped teeth removed by emergency dentist
will get a plate made and see if i can cope with that or save up and get it done in uk
