Canon 6D Spare Battery.

Sonority

Trade: Sonority Design Ltd
I have a feeling I *know* what the fishes hive collective will say here, but (asking for a friend) has anyone used aftermarket batteries for the Canon 6D?
The asking price for the OEM product is somewhat steep @ circa £120.00 (or thereabouts), and I now the cheap as chips 'Amazon' derivatives are probaby not the best choice, but there are a few others that may be? Hahnel possibly?
Any advice would be useful.
Thanks in advance..
Me - I turned to Fuji XT a while back :)

Maybe ask which aftermarket batteries are best for the camera on a forum specific to Canon? (Perhaps not an "official" Canon forum.)

Or just search "best aftermarket batteries for Canon 6D forum" and see how it sizzles.

Canon batteries last forever. I bought a spare for my 5DIII and both batteries were still working fine after 8 years.

Third party ones do have issues.

I bought mine from LCE less than a year ago for

me too. I did have a 3rd party pair for a while (I use a grip on my 5dIII, but they didn't last as long and for some reason took about 4 times as long as OEM to charge.

Three years ago I bought, off Amazon, two spare batteries with a double charger for about £30. No issues at all.
Another spare I bought off Amazon when I bought my 5D3 shows better health than the original Canon battery.

The things last many years. Just check the feedback and don’t worry.
