Thanks - I enjoyed that. I thought Ellery Eskelin was a new name to me but Discogs tells me I have a CD of him playing with Han Bennink so I'll dig that out.

Dissonant Characters? That's a good one.

I seem to have loads of Eskelin CDs. I bought a massive batch of Hatology releases in a job lot a few years ago. Everything he's on has a really nice vibe. Zorn-ish, but more chilled.

There is a lot going on in this album. Surprised that it plays given the state of it. It has had much use, and the kids have had a go as well. Never heard it sound this good on the ear, at home.
(the tunes lend themselves to volume, stonking in a club)

(have most of these on original Atco vinyl but this sounds really quite good- when you can't be arsed)
 
Listening to Gideon Coe's annual Tour de France special, the highlight of my GC year. All the records are cycling related, some very obvious but always a couple of curve balls.
