This has arrived. It doesn’t sound as good as my original vinyl copy.
The c.d. sounds a bit flat or boxed in. Not awful but not something I will play over the old record that I have. I will stick this c.d. copy in the car or kitchen c.d. player, bet it will sound fine
I like the album a lot, and it was probably in the first 20 albums I ever owned, so I will keep it, and it means I can stick it on my iPod 160 gb classics and play the album when on holiday.

Never got any of their albums, but do have a couple of singles that I liked a lot, used to get played in Rock City on Friday alternative night I think, mid-eighties. Just had a look, The Wheel 2x7” but it must be hiding in the pile of 45’s upstairs in the spare room.

Also arrived today, this version (I think) or it is a repress of this edition.
It doesn’t sound awful. Piano blanketed, but apparently that is par for the course with Rudy Van Gelder.
I think I prefer the reproduction of this album on the Kevin Gray, Classic Vinyl series, this ain’t bad though. Difficult to say straight away as I don’t know this album properly yet.
