I don't cry. I have the odd endorphin brain explosion that makes me eyes moist but I don't actually cry as such.

Recently moist after listening to this actually on 180gm vinyl. I have no idea why this record gets me the way it does. But it just does.

Listening to Milton Nascimento in the open air, Pueblo d''Espagne, Barcelona, singing 'Cancoes e momentos'-half the crowd were weeping!

The other, also live though on record/DVD, is Mariza at the Concerto a Lisboa, singing ' O gente da minha terra' -probably my all time favouite song.

Knowing the (meaning of the) words will help!

“A poignant reflection on loss, grief and the memories of a life and a love shared that are contained in a home once shared.” Lovely violin accompaniment.

Duke Ellington's solo piano version of Billy Strayhorn's "Lotus Blossom" on the "...and his mother called him Bill" album. The whole album is a tribute to Strayhorn, who died a few months prior to the recording, and loved hearing Duke play this song. The tape was left running at the end of the session. You can hear the rest of the band packing up in the background as Duke plays to the memory of his dead friend.

Beautiful record, love Blood Count on that as well, kills me every time.
