Wow, what a treat - such a beautiful bird, beautifly captured.

Those are excellent images - bet you had to sit patiently for an age to get those.
I love the fact you nearly always get to hear them before you see a bright blue / orange missile fly past at a million miles an hour at river top height.
Had the fortune / misfortune to see a pair of males (as in your images) fight, very literally, to the death, right in front of me while fishing.
Never expected to witness that, but had known just how territorial they can be.

What are you thoughts on the lens and the A1?

The lens is a little slow for faster subjects but is pretty sharp, it works fine with both my A9ii and A1 , not so good with the A7Riv
