Tracks that need to be played LOUD

Nothing should be played loud. That's teenage rubbish.

Same goes for gigs where you have to use earplugs not to destroy your ears: what's the point really?

I treasure my ears too much. Only one set.

Sorry about pooping the party.

Agreed. Playing classical music loud just puts you into the more than front row with creaking chairs, breathing noises and conductor humming. Of course nonclassical music is something else, not hifi at all really. Just effects added in in the studio, it does work of course and I enjoy some of it.

Free The Hunter (live)
Rammstein Links234
Rainbow Stargazer
Family In My Own Time
Neil Young Rockin' in The Free World
Stones Gimme Shelter

This.....The first time I saw them live (their first gig of the Leftism Tour I think) they had a brutally punishing soundsystem. It was perfect though.....bits of the venue were falling off!

Killing Joke - Follow The Leaders
The The - Giant
David Bowie - Look Back In Anger
Meat Beat Manifesto - Helter Skelter
My Bloody Valentine - Only Shallow (well, pretty much their entire back catalogue)
Can - Father Cannot Yell
Walker Brothers - Nite Flights
Green Velvet - Flash

Some fantastic choice there!
You been through my record collection?

Having seen and heard AC/DC play live in a stadium, no domestic hifi can go loud enough to do them justice.

Anything can be played loud, for me loud helps with the immersion in the music whether it's Redemption Song by Bob Marley or Territorial Pissings by Nirvana
