Rolling Stones - Black and Blue - original vinyl. Ron Wood’s debut although they auditioned a bunch of others including Jeff Beck - he got bored as the music was so simple, and Rory Gallagher - who got fed up waiting for Keith to come round from his stupors and Steve Marriott - vetoed by Mick because of his superior voice.
Probably worked out for the best .......Hey Negrita and Melody are worth a listen as well as the singles Fool to Cry and Hot Stuff.

"Die Beatles" ("The Beatles" in German) is generally regarded as the very best-sounding version of the "Please Please Me" album in stereo.

Apparently EMI London screwed up and in 1973 sent Odeon Germany a copy of the pre-mastered tape, lacking the compression and EQ that was on every other stereo pressing released in the UK and in the rest of the world.

There was also a later repressing on Odeon/Apple using the same stampers, and with the same cover art as the UK PPM album. As long as the deadwax matrices are SHZE 117-A-2 and SHZE 117-B-2, it's the "correct" version.

This LP was widely imported to the USA in the early '70s; I remember seeing it in the record department at a Jordan Marsh department store here in the Boston area.
