Anglepoise: vintage or modern?

Anglepoise 1227 floor standing appear to be short supply ATM, damn

still not managed to lay my hands on one. Best quote seems to be 6-7 weeks. I wonder if they are actually making any anymore - their website hasn't been updated in ages.....

Have just bought a Hadrill & Horstmann counterpoise lamp now, oops.
This one needs a rewire too. Not quite as smooth or flexible as the anglepoise, but it works well and looks funky.

I have an old Memlite and a medical examination anglepoise.

in the end we managed to get 2 1227 mini desk lights and matching clamps. Work way better than the wall lights.

Now Louise can move one around to illuminate the jigsaws she likes doing

I got a Tizio micro a few weeks ago for a turntable light, the micro version is an ideal size and a joy to use as well as look at, perfectly balanced even at full extension. The larger version would have been way to big but as a reading light ideal with a floor stand available too
