I am a fan or aroids in general, and would love to see a flower - they call it the corpse flower in the article but it is all but universally known as the Titan Arum in common English.
A very few species from the same genus - Amorphophallus - are available in cultivation, primarily for use as spectacular foliage plants for the open garden in the UK as none are trully hardy and most are frost-tender.

Not quite in the same league, but Zantedeschia (syn. Arum) odorata is flowering in the lounge here at the moment, but that smells similar to Parma violets
