telephone slide lamp for nap 250

can someone please give me the RS number for a replacement lamp for a nap 250 boltdown amp , lamp is 30mm long and green led. thanks

If its 30mm long it sounds like the whole switch has been changed for the later type as used on the chrome bumber gear. in that case its a t5.5 ,the 48v one is ok but runs a bit warm , i usually buy the one I can get easily say a 12v and change the resistor so it lasts alot longer especially as they cost teens of £s each.

I no longer own any CB equipment and passed on my small stash of bulbs to the new owner of my 135's, but of you can muster enough interest somebody could organise a group buy. I'm not volunteering personally but it ought to be possible to defeat the usual ebay scalpers.

And I need to pluck up courage to fit 2 of them! Both have failed in the last few weeks.

Is there any soldering involved?

None at all, they just pull out (probably wth a pair of snipe nosed pliers) and push in once you've got the switch cap removed. There is a bit of a knack to removing the switch cap though. You've got a couple of spares of those too so you can see how the tangs have to be released.
