The Gonzalo Rubalcaba version of Caravan on this Blue Note compilation is my favourite Caravan rendition. Blows me away every time.
The Art Pepper tune is a cracker as well.

Lucinda Williams - Essence cd rip

Title track is particularly good.

Will be interested to hear her contributions to an upcoming Robert Plant/Alison Krauss album - according to LW interviewed recently in one of the music mags. Although he is due to release a Band of Joy 2 album first - if his recent best of cd is correct in its track listing.
