Well yes....but completely nagates the intended isolation....so ....no

Don't worry, solid state devices (other than maybe high gain phono stages) don't require isolation.

The pins are still decoupled where they go into the socket and you could argue that the heavy aluminium collar damps vibration.

AFAIK Naim will repair them foc even the old ones.

How does the decoupling design work and differ from a 'normal' design? I've never really understood this properly.

Are there any similar products to the Naim designs in this respect?
