We are delighted to announce that we now have the English Electric 8switch from Chord company.
The switch is for anyone who uses a streamer on a home network. It acts like a standard Ethernet switch but offers extra isolation for your Streamer from your router/Wi-Fi hub. Your standard BT/Plusnet/Sky hub is a really cheap piece of IT equipment with little consideration for the performance of your Hi-Fi system. Adding in an Audiophile switch (such as the EE or a Melco) between the router and your streamer will make a large performance improvement. Anyone who owns a Naim, Linn or any other high end streamer should give these products a listen. It is staggering how big an improvement a really good sitch can make. We stock the EE and the Melco S100 so you can compare the direct to hub performance with the EE and the Melco.
The switch 8 comes complete with a Chord Company Ethernet cable, the switch is housed in a nice aluminium enclosure so has a solid high quality feel to it. Please see the following review.
