Best Intro Ever

I think the word you are searching for is Bollocks.

At the time.. and ever since, I have regarded Tubular Balls as mind numbingly boring, tedious, pretentious and ultimately pointless shite..

YMMV

:)

My M does V.

You don't like Mike, I get it. No need to swear about it though.

:)

You were so nearly there.... but you had the version without the drum beat intro... This is what you want...

;)

TBH I just copied and pasted the first video on YouTube...but I do concur with you :)

No matter which version I hear it still has the same effect on me.

For what it's worth, I'd have to say Master of Puppets or (bit of a leap here) The MJQ version of Night in Tunisia.

The irony is that, moving on from one of the crunchiest thrash intros ever, Metallica somehow turned the rest of the song into a crap ballad. Which is sort-of the story of Metallica writ small.

Stones - Gimme Shelter
Tull - Locomotive Breath
Groundhogs - Split (pt2)
Free - The Hunter (live)
Purple - Child in Time
Family - In My Own Time

Just a few to be getting on with
