My son has just bought a Rega P1 turntable and I want to build him a simple phono-stage. So I am looking for suggestion on fairly simple and cost effective designs with the best sound per pound. Does anyone have any suggestions for simple DIY designs.
This was a simple MM stage I built from Chinese PCBs
The RIAA board looks like a knock off of the buggle 2 board, it worked well and was better than a Cambridge 640p I have
I used LM4562 ICs
I bought the boards from EBay too long ago to remember who from but it could be Along or audio wind?
I ended up building the Rod Elliott P06. Very simple and very cheap. I used matrix board and it seems stable and even though I used cheap and cheerful positive and negative regulators it sounds very good. My son bought a Rega P1 with the Rega Carbon MM cartridge, I am very impressed.
