Thirty Three & 1/3

Another amazing blast from the past.

I bought this on the back of a video on OGWT with whispering Bob - I remember it clearly - someone punting through over-hanging willows. I don't remember, but suspect that it was not George doing the punting.

First time playing in countless years now. The recording is a bit muffled, but a very good laid-back album.

Anyone know his other work well enough to recommend other albums? Dark Horse is the usual culprit. This is the only one that I have.

George - nearly 20 years gone.

All Things Must Pass is the best solo Beatles album for me.

Seconded. I'd regard it as essential. I have a few of George's other solo albums; they seem 'OK', whereas ATMP is a towering achievement, well worthy of standing alongside other legendary albums. It's worth buying simply for Isn't it a Pity.

It’s that outpouring of songs he’d built up in the latter years of that band he was in...I think he’d developed far more than his band mates had realised somehow...
