Sax' Admission

Hopefully the version that @Arkless Electronics refers to?

Now this is totally infectiously toe-tapping stuff. First reaction, not something that I'd buy, but I just might. But a whole album at the same pace would be exhausting, even after just the first side.

Yep that's it.... actually one of his slower and less complicated ones come to think of it!

Cannonball Adderley?

And another vote for Tommy Smith who I have seen in Edinburgh many times

Good to see everyone is still strictly observing the PFM rule that Machine Gun must be posted in response to any request for 'light' music.

Twice in this thread!

Not forgetting Gerry Mulligan, especially when he met Ben Webster. In fact, Ben Webster met quite a few other musicians.

I too like 'smooth jazz' ...there, I'm out and proud.
Three other names for your list.
Richard Elliot, Euge Groove, and Kim Waters who's album 'love's melody ' is described as 'smooth sax in the key of love'.....mmmmm nice.
A vote for Paul Desmond too..he's rather smooth.

Loads of jazz greats here with with which I totally agree.

Off track always loved Jr Walker of Motown fame.
