Caroline Flack has died

Obviously troubled for a very long time - terribly sad and an abject reminder that even celebrities don't get decent mental health provision in this country

To be honest I have no idea who she is, but horrible news if she was driven to such a truly awful decision by media pressure.

It’s tragic that any person feels that ending their life is the best way forward. If that is precipitated by others that is horrific. If it is brought on by the actions of the press it is even worse. They surely have some moral liability for what they publish.

May the authors of recent stories published in the Sun and their ilk not be pursued and hounded like she was.

She was a brilliant dancer on Strictly. Passionate, slightly wild even, her personality really came through.

Truly, truly sad. A great looking woman and a great dancer too, among her many talents...

Tragic. In contrast UK Road traffic deaths are currently 1,870 p.a.
( c/f 6,507 suicides) https://assets.publishing.service.g...485/road-casualties-year-ending-june-2019.pdf
There are many issues here. Alleged domestic violence. [ stereotypes as to whether it is the male or the female who is/maybe/ the aggressor and reactions to such allegations. ] Normally the CPS will continue with a prosecution after the victim has withdrawn their support as it is in the public interest to prosecute domestic violence cases. No doubt this case was fully reviewed after the apparent withdrawal of support from the complainant. Media 'scrutiny' [ i.e. build them up / knock the down ] Depression and personality issues, for starters.
This is very sad. RIP.
