What is the right torque for the arm pillar?
I think it is even more important on the new Planar 10 as it has a ceramic top brace.
Thanks
Vincenzo

I try to explain my question.
To add a spacer to raise the arm (RB2000) on my turntable (RP10) I've loosen the three bolts that pair the arm to the plinth.
What is the right torque settings for the three bolts?
Thanks
Vincenzo

Paul has the definitive answer of course. I'd estimated it as 1Nm, which an engineer might call "just nipped" . 2Nm, Paul's figure, is about the same as a 38mm plastic cap as attached to a milk bottle. It's not easy to measure very low torques like this without specific tools, so maybe the bottle cap is an easier approximation.

If you have such a tool, go for it. It's not worth buying such a thing just for this though, it's not a critical torque. A normal nut spinner on a screwdriver handle will get you to 2Nm easily enough and with good repeatability.
