Drive-By Truckers - Little Bonnie

A song written by Patterson Hood telling the story of his first cousin who died at the age of four, before Patterson Hood was even born. Nevertheless, her death remains present with the family decades after she is gone.
"Little Bonnie" was released on the Drive-By Truckers' album "A Blessing and a Curse" (New West, 2006).

"On the day that she was buried
Her daddy stood out by the cemetery fence
Prayed to God for forgiveness
As if this was punishment for sin"
