The Bitter Sweet Symphony dispute is over.

Good news. I always thought it v unfair that Ashcroft et al didn't benefit from what was, ironically, a very original song
 
It is an odd song, I used to really like it but I started to find the drums really annoying & the switch was turned off for me.
 
How big of them, 20 years too late.

Ashcroft opened for the Stones at Old Trafford last summer, so there must have been some understanding that it was the management rather than the band. Klein was quite the operator, didn't he throw someone out of a window over some gig takings?

That album is second year at university for me.... Bloody hell I feel old!
 
We tend to assume these always work in favour of the artist. Just google Bittersweet (how appropriate) Symphony royalties and read what an A1 Sh!t Allen Klein is. And poor old David Whitaker, who actually wrote the orchestra part, got nothing too. Doesn't reflect to well on Jagger/Richards either IMO.
