She's not ours but belongs to a friend - they have this old bathtub in the corner of one of their fields which Poppy loves to sit in for some 'time out' from the younger members of the canine family. She's 13 years old, still full of life and just gorgeous, bless her.

What a lovely looking dog Poppy is. My lab is 5 tomorrow and I'm hoping she'll be looking that well at 13!

My wife is away this week, helping with a school outdoors trip so my son has come up from London to help out with dog watching/walking duties. So far he's not finding it too onerous, although I may need to buy more beer:

Ludo, who is 5 today, has now decided that my bed is his bed. Still, he doesn't snore as much as my wife does...

we have a cat takeover of ours. The checked cover, is an old cover we put over the top for the cats during the day. Ziggy dislikes it and spends about half an hour every morning pulling back to expose the duvet cover.

We have a friend who runs a local dog training school (being on the edge of our village, they're surrounded by acres of fields which means lots of post-lesson off-lead play for the dogs). Yesterday, they held their annual fun day in aid of Cancer Research. Had a fabulous time This is Rosie (12 weeks old) on her first big outing - she was a total star...
