Songwriting's a bit AOR, but the funky bits and the guitar solos are fantastic. Best guitarist never to appear on a Steely Dan record. The missing link between Django Reinhardt and Jimi Hendrix.

Buck Clayton - 'How High The Fi - A Buck Clayton Jam Session'. Vinyl mono 1954 recording. 1987 Spanish Columbia / CBS pressing. Not that rare, but I didn't have and always wanted one even for just for the sleeve.

I just picked up a NM/NM copy from Oxfam for £4.99 and it sounds spectacular. Wonder how much better (if any) the 1954 Columbia would be?
