RIP brave man - Arnaud Beltrame

respect indeed. what a selfless act. all my sympathies to his family, the loss will be deeply felt.
 
This really touched me in a way so much in our media doesn't. A brave and selfless act that may make some politicians think about their cruel and self seeking words and deeds.
 
An incredibly brave act of self sacrifice that, as others have said, stands in sharp contrast to certain warmongering politicians.
 
An amazingly selfless act and so sad he couldn’t be saved.

I’ll never understand why this BS keeps occurring, be it this brain-dead Islamist cult or similarly irrational school shootings in the US. By coincidence today is the huge March For Our Lives student protest in the USA (Guardian).
 
Respect indeed. Bravery and commitment to his job and public safety above and beyond anything that could be expected
