Integrated amp with phono stage and usb digital input

I have a friend who is looking to go into budget separates. He's after a cheap, preferably Japanese stereo amp with a phono stage and digital inputs , preferably USB so he can hook up his Mac. A headphone socket would be a bonus too. I sthis too much functionality for cheap bucks?

I was looking at Onkyo A9010, seems cheap and cheerful but no USB option.

He would prefer Japanese as he and I live in Japan and local stuff is competitively priced.
 
The Yamaha network receiver range is worth a look , the R-N402 and 602. Great sounding amps with every conceivable input.
 
Marantz PM7005 (and above) do it.

PM6006 has optical and coax but no usb but is cheaper. My daughter and family use one with no complaints.

They all have MM phono stage.
