Budget Amp for Small Mancave

I have had my Nytec for 20 odd years and wouldn't part with it after all whats wrong with it?As some one else said it would be a down grade.

A Nait 3R would work - I've been using a CD3.5 & Nait 3R for some time.
I've recently gone lifestyle and got a MuSo Qb.

Might be worth giving hifirepairman of this parish a shout if you can't find anyone else to do the amp servicing - it would be well worth it rather than replacing it. Some canvas prints on the wall and a rug would also be a good idea. As might a headphone rig!

Are you listening near field? I find this a slightly rougher ride, especially with vinyl: I guess the room's smoothing things out a little in my case.

Martyn has a great opportunity to do some really good room treatment. What do you buy to make your own acoustic panels and where do you buy it?

Is the same stuff that you put in the corners and behind the listening position?

Finally what about the wall behind the speakers?

Although easy to reverse, one can go overboard on room treatments.

HFERCH*: A good snooker player will know where to place minimal wall damping.
