Interested to hear what your best hifi purchase was for 2015?
I have thoroughly enjoyed a Jadis Orchestra Ref SE amplifier, just scraping into 2015 in early January, but I think this has been pipped at the post by a surprise, and out of character purchase: Sennheiser IE800 earphones.
They just sound so unbelieveably good, they work well with an iPhone, they're quite well isolated on the move and just so compact and comfy to wear. I think they have embarrassed many full sized headphones I have had to date.
Trouble is, they're certainly not cheap, and anxiety levels are up as they're so easily lost or broken. But after all, I have high end on the move, without any practical drawbacks. Very impressive but of kit.
