So what is this

What's this all about then?
About 1/4 inch thick I thought it was a dead twig and went to pick it off but it wriggled and scared the hell out of me.

Oak Beauty moth, feeds on oak, elm, birch, plum, sloe and rose.
Described as Grey and stick like and can be difficult to distinguish from twigs.

Thanks we have nine large oaks so thet are at home here. Also a plum tree devoid of plums. I found it on a cherry stella by the way.
