REGA Cursa 3 Gain Level

Hi,

Actually I have a Cursa 3 and Maia 3 power amplifier. The Cursa 3 is set to gain level 2 (11.5dB) according to REGA recomendation. Is there any advantage to set Level 3 (15dB)?. I understand I will get more volume with less knob turning but, more distortion or unpleasant sound?

Any experience about this?

Less volume (output gain), more knob turning (less attenuation) is where it's at, from a sound quality perspective.
