I had exact same experience, BUT I never got used to the new one bought from the local department store. and within a couple of weeks we got rid of it.
Replaced it with a Simba mattress, bought online and after a short 'running in' period it's just fine.
most hi-fi fans have an obsessional need to 'tweak' their systems.
In the good old days of vinyl, you could experiment with different turntables, tone arms, cartridges, styli. Then the esoteric tweets like adjusting downforce, weights to hold down the record...
Then along came digital and all of...
You may have seen that 'Audio Republic' have opened a store in Gateshead. That brings to an end the hifi drought in this area caused by the closure of Lintone.
Also looks like AR will be much easier to get to and park at than Lintone was.
:):)
Couple of weeks ago I realised I'd developed an inguinal hernia.
Trawling the net for advice reveals roughly half the UK web sites I looked said don't worry about it - lots of people have them, if it doesn't hurt ignore it.
Of course the other half tell me it's really bad, must get urgent...
That's pretty much what I do - cut out a 'groove' from the carpet / underlay and put trunking in that - make sure it's well stuck down to avoid accidents..
I use the Royal Mail service to print postage labels at home.
One thing I'm never sure about is how to stick them to the envelope, especially 'large letter' size which are huge.
I can't use the self-adhesive printer paper as my printer doesn't like it !
I usually resort to the Pritt Stick but...
brownie points to the post office - just did a 'special mail forwarding' . Water bill and debit card for id, also POA due to the circumstances.
best things are:
1. you can do at any post office (as mentioned above)
2. they only have to look at the docs, not send them away - some savings banks...
I have just had to 'prove my identity' to the estate agents I'm dealing with. No problem ? Big problem !
for a start I'm told any utility bill with my name and address on it will be OK, but... it has to be less than 3 months old (most utilities only send a statement once a year, if at all) ...
OK - come clean - I had got the right seals, a very nice Halls customer services lady phoned me and explained - the rubber strip is so small that it doesn't look like it will fit, but with a great deal of effort and manoeuvring it does in fact go. Takes ages to do each piece though - since this...
I queried in another post about anchoring a new greenhouse and a few other things.
In the end I lay down paving slabs, and fixed the base with anchor bolts - seems very sturdy.
Greenhouse arrived (8x6 Halls with Polycarbonate), decent weather so we built it.
Hint: we built it on the lawn, and...
"What I cannot understand is why have the floor covered in pavers? "
The area is already covered in slabs and I didn't want to pull them all up. In any case I will be using growbags so it makes no difference whether the ground is earth or slabs (well actually I think slabs are better as I then...
Expecting my new greenhouse Thursday. It will be going onto a solid base of paving slabs so I will need to anchor it. Obvious choice is to drill into the slabs and use rawlbolts but some of the anchor points are very close to the edge of the slabs and risk breaking them if I accidentally tighten...
thanks - I have now separately programmed my 2 main 230ml pod types and they both work so it seems the programming uses both cup size and coffee type.
Don't talk to me about user guides/manual/instructions.:).. The ones I hate most are those which give you an exploded diagram, and a separate...
It is possible to reprogram a vertuo machine to increase or decrease the quantity of coffee.
According to the many videos on YouTube you can for example change a 230ml pod to deliver say 200ml.
I can nowhere find out whether that is supposed to affect all 230 pods regardless of coffee type, or...
